Derivation: In honour of Hermann Harms, with the Greek doxa, praise.

Synonymy: Not Applicable

Common name: None

Description:
Annual herbs.

Sepals erect to spreading, dimorphic; petals clawed; stamens 6; median glands usually obsolete.

Fruit a siliqua, dehiscent; valves with 1 mid-vein; seeds in 2 rows, mucous; radicle incumbent. (E.A. Shaw (1965) Trans. R. Soc. S. Aust. 89:204-219).

Distribution:  3 species endemic in Australia.

1. Petals 2-4 mm long; pedicels stout, less than 7 mm long
H. brevipes 2.
1. Petals 4-8 mm long; pedicels slender, at least some more than 7 mm long
 
2. Siliqua with hairs at the distal end longer than at the proximal end, the distal hairs simple and branched
H. blennodioides 1.
2. Siliqua with hairs approximately the same length all over, the distal hairs branched
H. puberula 3.
