Description:
Glabrous slender shrub 0.3-2 m high, if pungent phyllodes present then the 2-3 mm thick branches slightly sulcate; phyllodes if present, 5-30 mm long, 1-2 mm diam., perpendicular to and with their wide bases continuous with the branches, tapering from the base into a pungent point; stipules wanting.

Flowers 4.5-6 mm long, 3-12 in solitary or clustered racemes on a rhachis 2-20 mm long, almost all lateral, rarely axillary; bract(s) at the base of the raceme or pedicel obovate, to 0.5 mm long, scarious, glabrous except for the ciliate margins; calyx campanulate, 3-4 mm long including the c. 1.5 mm long receptacle, glabrous; the 5 teeth very short, apiculate, fimbriate; the upper 2 shorter, broader, truncate as partly united; standard transverse-elliptic, retuse, yellow-brown, the wings and obtuse keel rather shorter.

Pod shortly stipitate, broad-obovate to triangular, narrowing to the base, 5-6 x 4-5 x c. 5.5 mm, compressed, upper suture gently sigmoid, lower curved nearly at right angles; seeds 1 or 2, ovate, c. 2.5 mm long, slightly compressed; aril lateral, compressed-ovoid.
