Related to the <I>Acacia lineolata</I> complex (mainly Western Australia) and to <I>A. ancistrophylla</I> var. <I>lissophylla</I> which occurs on Eyre Peninsula and which differs in its narrower phyllodes of different shape, shorter peduncles with red resin hairs and narrower pods with longitudinal seeds.
