Common throughout Eyre Peninsula, Yorke Peninsula and Northern and Southern Lofty regions, scattered in the Flinders Ranges, Murray and South-Eastern regions. Mainly in low woodland or open scrub vegetation. Soils: mainly brown or shallow calcareous, hard alkaline red duplex. Rainfall 200-500 mm. Also in W.Aust., N.S.W. and Vic.<P>
