A small local occurrence in the Yorke Peninsula region (northern area) but the main occurrence is in the Murray region in open scrub vegetation associated with <I>Eucalyptus socialis</I> and <I>E. gracilis</I>. Soils: brown calcareous earths; rainfall 250-500 mm. Also Qld, N.S.W. and Vic.
