There are few records of mistletoes on A. stenophylla, two collections of Lysiana exocarpi, harlequin mistletoe and a single record of Amyema preissii, wire-leaved mistletoe.

A. stenophylla seed is reported by Isaacs (1987) to be used by the Aborigines after it has ground up.

A. stenophylla trees tend to sucker and old trees may be surrounded by young suckers thus forming long lived thickets.
