Description:
Inflorescence 10-50 cm high; leaves loosely rosulate and scattered on stolons, narrowly linear to narrowly obovate, petiolate, 0.3-10 cm long, up to 5 mm wide; traps 1-5 mm long, numerous on the stolons.
Flowers 2-9 in whorls of 2 or 3, sometimes reduced to 1 flower and an aborted bud; pedicels filiform, 1.5-15 mm long; bracts and bracteoles more or less medifixed but usually only very shortly produced below, 1.5-2 mm long; calyx lobes unequal, the upper orbicular, 2-5 mm long, the lower smaller, ovate with a 2-fid apex; corolla purple with conspicuous yellow ridges at the base of the lower lip, 1-2 cm long, the upper lip obovate with apex truncate or emarginate, the lower lip much larger, broadly flabellate with apex rounded or obscurely 3-lobed; spur broadly conical, obtuse, shorter than the lower lip.
Capsule globose, 4-5 mm diam.; seeds obovoid, c. 0.5 mm long, the testa conspicuously reticulate.
