Description:
Villous plant with branches to c. 40 cm long, the hairs on the leaves and flowers longer than those on the stems; leaves obovate or oblanceolate, 4-20 mm long, narrowed into a petiole 4-12 mm long.
Flowers 6-7 mm long; perianth villous outside; the lobes lanceolate, 2-3 mm long, white often tinged pink; stamens c. 20; style as long as the ovary.
Capsule cylindrical in the upper part, truncate and hollowed at the summit, enclosed in the perianth, c. 3 mm long.
