Common name: Lesser chickweed.
Description:
Annual, very slender, ascending, with a line of hairs down each internode, rarely glabrous; leaves petiolate, ovate, subacute, glabrous, to c. 0,8 mm long.
Inflorescence a cyme; pedicels with a line of hairs or glabrous, erect, seldom reflexed in fruit; sepals 2-3 mm long, hairy, with purple tips and/or a marking towards the base; petals absent or rarely minute; stamens 1-3 rarely 5; styles 3.
Capsule c. 2 mm long, sparsely tomentose; seeds c. 6, 0.6-0.8 mm diam., a pale yellow-brown, rarely dark-coloured, tuberculate.
