Description:
Annual glabrous herb with several stems, prostrate or ascending, usually less than 30 cm long; leaves lanceolate or linear-lanceolate, acuminate, c. 5 mm long.
Flowers in leaf axils; peduncles 1-3 cm long; sepals lanceolate, 3-nerved, with conspicuously scarious margins, 4-5 mm long; petals absent; stamens 5-10; styles 3.
Capsule as long as or rather longer than the sepals; seeds few to 20, reddish-brown, c. 1 mm diam., granular.
