Description:
Perennial; emergent leaves petiolate, ovate or orbicular, with 18-25 nerves.
Spike (in fruit) 2.5-4 cm long.
Fruiting carpels 2-3 mm long, beak very short, with 3 almost smooth acute ribs.

Restricted to S.Aust. and N.S.W. (cf. J. Black (1943), but not mentioned by J. Thompson (1961) Contr. N.S.W. natn. Herb., Fl. ser. 9, or Sainty & Jacobs (1981) Waterplants of New South Wales.
