Polygonum strigosum

Description:
Prostrate perennial; stems to 1.5 m long, covered with stiff reflexed hairs; stipular sheaths c. 1.5 cm long, membranous, nerved, entire, often with a few short cilia; leaves lanceolate, to c. 6 cm long, almost sagittate or hastate at the base, hairy on the midrib; petiole c. 1 cm long.
Peduncles axillary, branched, with glandular hairs; flowers few, pink, in short lax spikes.
Nut smooth, dark-red, usually 3-angled.
