Polygonum prostratum

Description:
An appressed-hairy perennial with prostrate woody stems to c. 50 cm long; leaves on very short petioles, lanceolate, 2-5 X 0.3-1 cm; stipular sheaths ciliate and hairy, brownish.
Racemes spike-like, pedunculate, axillary and terminal, 1.5-2 cm long, the bract at the base of each 2-4-flowered cluster ovate and ciliate; stamens 5 or 6; style-branches 2.
Nut reddish-brown, shining, biconvex.
