Leaves green; involucral bracts 2 or 4; pedicels covered with short fine hairs.
Male flowers 13-100 in each head, 3-8 mm long; perianth covered outside with short fine curly hairs and sometimes glabrous on the lobes.

Open forests and mallee usually on sandy soils.
