Common name: None

Description:
Erect shrub to 1.5 m; leaves 4-23 mm long, 1-8.5 mm wide, with the upper surface glabrous or nearly so and the lower surface bearing hairs of variable size and density.

Peduncles to 6 mm long or absent; involucral bracts 1-4 or absent, not exceeding the inflorescence in length, 3-11 mm long, similar in vestiture to the leaves; flowers in heads, 4-22 in each head, 4.5-12 mm long; perianth covered outside with hairs of variable size and direction. Variety gracilis has peduncle absent; pedicels covered with long fine or coarse antrorse hairs; perianth lightly covered outside with short usually fine antrorse hairs; seed occasionally curved, slightly furrowed.
