Description:
Rhizome prostrate, scaly; fronds oblong, scattered; stipe and rhachis a dark blackish brown, scaly; lamina pinnate, the pinnae opposite or subopposite, orbicular, oblong or broadly oblong, obtuse, entire, becoming glabrescent above, very densely scaly below; the scales ciliate, imbricate; veins free, obscure; sori exindusiate, submarginal, broad, forming a continuous band, obscured by scales.
