Description:
Compact spreading shrub or undershrub 40-90 cm high, glutinous with short glandular hairs, aromatic; stems woody, erect, much-branched, pubescent, without ribs; leaves sessile, oblanceolate, narrowed at the base, truncate or dentate at the apex, 1-2.5 cm long, 2-8 mm Wide, scabrous, green, concolorous, with a distinct mid-vein; margins flat, dentate with 2-5 pairs of lobes.

Capitula terminal on pubescent peduncles, solitary or in corymbs of 2-4; involucre hemispherical, 5-6 mm long; bracts 3-4-seriate, lanceolate, acute, green, glandular; ray florets 20-50; ligules linear, 6-10 mm long, blue to mauve, crowded and appearing 2-seriate; disk florets 30-70, yellow.

Achenes flattened, c. 2 mm long, smooth except for a marginal ridge, pubescent; pappus bristles 20-30, 4-5 mm long, subequal.

Distribution:  In woodland and among rocks of hills. S.Aust.: NW, LE, GT.   W.Aust.; N.T. Conservation status: native Flowering time: June — Sept.
