Common name: Splendid daisy-bush.
Description:
Diffuse shrub to 1 m high; stems erect, sparsely branched, more or less woody, glabrous, without ribs; leaves sessile, cuneate to oblanceolate, narrowed at the base, 8-18 mm long, 2-5 mm wide, glabrous, slightly viscid, dark-green concolorous, with a prominent midrib; margins 3-5-toothed at the apex or rarely entire, revolute.
Capitula solitary, terminal, subsessile or on peduncles less than 1 cm long; involucre hemispherical, 15-20 mm long; bracts 4-5-seriate, elliptic to linear, subacute, green, glabrous, minutely fimbriate; ray florets 14-20; ligules linear, 18-24 mm long, mauve to purple; disk florets 30-40, yellow.
Achenes compressed-terete, 3-5 mm long, striate, glabrous; pappus bristles 60-90, 12-15 mm long, subequal, with a few much shorter forming an outer series.
