Description:
Erect aromatic shrub to 1.5 m high; stems woody, branched, glabrous, prominently ribbed; leaves sessile, elliptical, narrowed at the base, acute to acuminate, 4-10 cm long, 5-20 mm wide, glabrous, green, concolorous, manifestly veined, glutinous; margins serrulate, flat.
Achenes somewhat flattened, c. 3 mm long, striate, sericeous; pappus bristles 30-45, to 8 mm long, unequal.
