Description:

Inflorescence axillary or terminal, distichous or paniculate; calyx small, campanulate, with 4 small more or less triangular-dentate lobes; corolla sympetalous, with 4 valvate lobes; stamens 2, attached near the top of the corolla tube, exserted at anthesis; ovary ovoid; style terminal, with a more or less 2-lobed stigma.
