Description:
Shrub 1-2 m high, glabrous; leaves decussate, narrowly elliptic, 5-10 mm long, 2-4 mm broad, acuminate, mucronate, obscurely 3-nerved with only the midrib distinct below, smooth above, punctate-glandular below; petiole distinct, 1-2 mm long.
Flowers in lateral clusters of 3-6 on a very short axis, subtended by several scarious triangular bracts in 4 series; hypanthium bell-shaped, 2-2.5 mm long; sepals triangular, c. 1 mm long; stamens in bundles of 9-17, white; claw 3-4 mm long; free parts of the filaments 2-3 mm long.
Fruit smooth, subglobular, 3-4 mm diam., shortly lobed at the rim by persistent sepals, in clusters on old wood.
