Description:
Small glabrous perennial herbs with long creeping rhizomes; leaves erect from the nodes of the rhizomes, reduced to fistulose phyllodes with transverse septa.

Peduncles slender, rising from the nodes; umbels simple, few-flowered; involucral bracts few, minute; pedicels slender, ascending to reflexed; flowers small; sepals minute; petals white, orbicular, with an acute inflexed apex, concave; styles very short; stylopodium depressed or absent.

Fruit slightly compressed laterally, globose or ovoid; carpophore absent; mericarps with dorsal and intermediate ribs more or less conspicuous and lateral ribs next to the commissure broad, thick, obtuse, corky; vittae usually solitary in the intervals, 2 on the commissure.
