Citation: Sonder in Lehm., Pl. Preiss. 1:392 (1845).

Synonymy: Not Applicable

Common name: Hairy stylewort.

Description:
Delicate annual with 1 erect stem up to 8 cm high, usually without axillary branches, glandular-pubescent; leaves rarely with a petiole to 1.5 mm long, elliptic to linear-oblanceolate below the inflorescence, 2-8 x 1-4 mm, acute to obtuse, fleshy, with few scattered glandular hairs to glabrescent.

Inflorescence usually a single monochasium with 2-6 flowers; bracts leaf-like, linear-oblanceolate; sepals scarcely connate, linear-triangular, 2-2.5 mm long, with a few glandular hairs to glabrescent; corolla with the tube slightly longer than the sepals; lobes angular-obovate, rounded, truncate to emarginate, a whitish pink with yellow around the throat; labellum a pale pink, rounded, shortly spathulate with 2 broad lobes incurved but without appendages; column pale with a yellowish apex; ovary 1, globular, covered with glandular hairs; stigma branches curved upwards.

Capsule ovoid with basal seeds; seeds almost globular, wrinkled to unevenly pitted.
