Description:
Leaves 1 or 2, lanceolate or ovate-lanceolate, sometimes reddish-spotted above, rarely to 30 cm long and 4 cm broad.
Scapes usually 10-20 cm high, with often 10-15 flowers; pedicels to 5 mm long; flowers mostly pendulous; outer perianth red, more or less cylindrical, slightly shorter than the inner, 3-4 cm long; inner segments yellowish with a green tip and reddish or purplish in parts; anthers and stigma at the mouth.
