Common name: Round-leaved toadflax, hairy toadflax, blunt-leaved fluellen.
Description:
Prostrate to ascending, widely spreading, villous perennial with long eglandular and shorter glandular hairs; main branches bearing several short laterals; leaves shortly petiolate, on main branches broad-ovate, 1-3.8 x 1-3 cm, cordate, obtuse to broad-acute, on branch ends or short laterals much smaller, 3-7 x 2-6 mm.
Pedicels 0.3-1.5 cm long (to 2 cm in Europe), shorter to slightly longer than the subtending leaf, c. 1-2 times longer than the flowering calyx, villous; calyx 3-5.5 mm long, segments ovate, free in flower, enlarging and accrescent in the fruit; corolla c. 7-8 mm long along the upper side, the spur c. 2-5 mm long, curved, the upper lip purple-fronted, the lower lip yellow.
capsule transverse-ellipsoid, c. 3-4 x 4.5-5 mm, thin-walled, light-brown, glandular-pubescent; seeds broad-ellipsoid, 1-1.2 mm long, alveolate, dark-brown.
