Description:
Rusty-pubescent shrub to 2 m high, but usually less than 1 m; leaves ovate or obovate, on petioles 5-10 mm long; lamina 8-28 x 8-10 mm, rounded at the base.
Flowers 8-10 mm long; calyx tomentose, 8-9 mm long; petals mostly deep-purple.
Pod oblong, 15-25 x c. 8 mm.
