Description:
Slender glabrous annual herb; stems branched from the base, procumbent, filiform, 10-40 cm long; leaf blades reniform, 5-20 mm long, 10-40 mm broad, very thin, light-green above, paler below, usually 5-lobed from below the middle; lobes oblong to broad-obovate-cuneate; lobes usually with 3-5 coarse teeth in the upper half; petioles of lower leaves usually longer than the blades, those of the upper leaves shorter; stipules membranous, white, lanceolate, fringed.
Peduncles very thin, leaf-opposed, varying in length from 5-30 mm; umbels with 3-12 distinctly pedicellate flowers; involucre absent; pedicels 1.5-2 mm long.
Fruits laterally compressed, c. 1 mm long, c. 2 mm broad; carpophore subulate, persistent; mericarps with prominent more or less acute dorsal and semicircular intermediate ribs with a single row of small tubercles between them (sometimes smooth) and often some tubercles enclosed in the semicircular depression between the intermediate and the lateral ribs.
