Description:
Branchlets slender; articles narrowly barrel-shaped, c. 5 long, c. 2 mm wide, dull (not glaucous) to glossy, entire.

Spikes almost cylindrical, 10-25 rarely to 70 mm long; seed suborbicular, finely tuberculate over the embryo, otherwise granular.

Distribution:  Found around inland saltlakes.
