Description:
Shrub to 2 m high; stems erect, rigid, sparsely to densely branched, glabrous, pale-brown; leaves spreading, linear to subulate, narrow at the base and decurrent to form small ribs on the branchlets, acute, 0.7-1.5, rarely to 2 cm long, c. 0.7 mm wide, glabrous to subglabrous, gland-dotted, bright-green, trigonous, keeled below.

Corymbs usually very dense and subglobular, 1-3 cm diam., rarely looser and shallowly convex, terminating sparsely leafy branchlets beyond the main mass of foliage; involucre clavate, 3-4 mm long, cream; bracts acute to subacute, entire, grading into the bracts of the condensed corymb branches which may appear to sheath several capitula as a general involucre; floret solitary; corolla yellowish.

Achenes cylindrical, c. 0.8 mm long, finely papillose.

Distribution:  On rocky hill slopes. S.Aust.: FR, EA, EP, NL, MU. Conservation status: native Flowering time: Oct. — Nov.
