Common name: Twin-leaved pigface.
Description:
Greenish slightly papillose erect or decumbent perennial shrub to c. 60 cm high; branchlets terete; leaves broadly ovate to spathulate, 11-58 x 2-24 mm.
Flowers solitary; peduncles 7-12 mm long; perianth-segments yellow inside, equal in length, free for at least two-thirds of their length; stamens evenly distributed around the ovary; filaments dilated at the base, terete above, papillose.
Capsules with 2-fid valves; seeds comma-shaped, laterally compressed, ridged, black.
