Description:
Annual to c. 20 cm high, papillose; branchlets terete; leaves spathulate to ovate, to c. 20 cm high, papillose; branchlets terete; leaves spathulate to ovate, yellow-green to grey-green, 10-30 X 3-11 mm.
Flowers solitary; peduncles 2-12 mm long; perianth-segments white or yellow inside, equal in length, 4.5-9.5 mm long, free for two-thirds of their length; stamens numerous, evenly distributed around the ovary; filaments terete, papillose.
Capsules with 2-fid valves, apex depressed, 4.5-5 mm across; seeds comma-shaped, laterally compressed, papillose, dark-brown.
