Common name: Wavy goodenia.

Description:
Viscid undershrub to 90 cm high; stems erect, branched, varnished and slightly ridged at first, glabrous; leaves cauline, shortly petiolate, narrowly elliptic to oblanceolate or obovate, usually acute, 1.5-4 cm long, 0.5-2 cm wide, subentire to serrulate, glabrous, varnished.

Flowers in terminal leafy thyrses or racemes; bracts leaf-like, lanceolate, often entire, to 2.5 cm long; peduncles 6-14 mm long, articulate below the ovary; bracteoles linear, acute, 2-5 mm long; sepals subulate, 6-10 mm long, accrescent in fruit, adnate to the ovary almost to the apex; corolla 12-15 mm long, yellow, minutely glandular-pubescent outside, sparsely pubescent inside, with a distinct pocket about half the length of the ovary; wings triangular, more or less equal; auricles distinct; anthers c. 2 mm long; style 4-7 mm long, geniculate, villous; indusium broadly oblong, c. 2 mm long, villous below, with a slightly curved orifice beset with short white bristles; ovary varnished; dissepiment almost as long as the ovary.

capsule obovoid to cylindric, 7-9 mm long, c. 3 mm wide, varnished, with a short beak; valves entire; seeds flat, elliptic, c. 2.5 mm long, a pale yellow-brown, with a thickened rim and a vestigial wing.
