Description:
Decumbent perennial herb with a thickened rootstock; basal leaves obovate to spathulate, attenuate at the base, obtuse, 1-3 cm long, 2-5 mm wide, entire or with a few teeth, fleshy, glabrous; stems zig-zag, divaricately branched to 10 cm long, glabrous, ridged; cauline leaves linear, terete, or somewhat flattened, 1-2.5 cm long, 1-2 mm wide, glabrous with villous tufts in the axils, sometimes in axillary fascicles.

Flowers few in terminal racemes, each in a leaf axil; peduncles 8-16 mm long, glabrous or subglabrous; bracteoles absent; sepals lanceolate-elliptic, c. 3 mm long, pubescent with appressed simple hairs, adnate to the ovary for up to half its length; corolla 8-9 mm long, yellow, pubescent outside, villous toward the base inside, with a distinct pocket subequal to the ovary; wings subequal, short; auricles c. 1 mm long; anthers c. 1.4 mm long; style 2-4 mm long, straight, glabrous; indusium broadly oblong, c. 1.2 mm long, c. 1.7 mm wide, pilose, slightly concave, with a curved orifice beset with short white bristles; ovary appressed-pubescent; dissepiment almost as long as the ovary, with ovules in 2 rows.

Capsule and seeds not seen.

Distribution:  In saline or subsaline conditions.
