Description:
Small shrub to 1 m tall; branches tuberculate, glabrous; leaves alternate, clustered, obovate, 5-10 x 3-7.5 mm, obtuse, margins serrulate, surfaces flat or undulate with scattered tubercles on the abaxial side and a few large translucent spots showing through the lamina, glabrous.

Flowers 1 per axil, sessile; sepals valvate, linear-subulate, 2-5 x 0.5-1 mm, glabrous; corolla 7-12 mm long, lilac, unspotted, outside surface glabrous, inside of tube villous, medial lobe of lower lip bearded, lobes acute; the upper pair of stamens included, the lower pair exserted just beyond the throat, glabrous; ovary and style glabrous.

Fruit cylindrical, 2.5-3.5 x 0.8-1 mm, glabrous.
