Description:
Terrestrial ferns with a creeping rhizome covered with hairs; fronds bipinnate to decompound, hairy or glabrous, veins free; soft marginal, round, terminating veins usually at the bases of sinuses; indusium cup-like resulting from the fusion of a true inner indusium with the modified pinnule margin.

Distribution:  About 70 species; 1 in Australia.
