Description:
Rounded viscid undershrub to 30 cm tall and 45 cm diam., moderately to densely pubescent with simple and sparingly branched glandular hairs and scattered simple non-glandular hairs; leaves sessile, elliptic to ovate, often abruptly narrowed in the upper half due to recurving of the margin, mostly 2-10 x 1-4 mm (on seedlings up to 50 x 9 mm).
Flowers solitary and terminal, leaf-opposed, interfoliar, pseudo-axillary or in branch forks; pedicel 1-10 mm long, densely pubescent with simple glandular hairs, elongated and deflexed in the fruit; corolla 6-8 mm (rarely to 11 mm) in total length, white with purple striations in the throat, Sparsely pubescent outside, glabrous inside; corolla lobes broadly elliptic to orbicular, 2.5-3.5 x 2-3.5 mm (rarely up to 5 x 5 mm).
Capsule globose or ovoid, 2.5-4 mm long; seeds brown, c. 2.5 mm long.

Distribution:
|
On deep calcareous sands on open sites in mallee, often with Triodia; may be locally abundant following fire. Plants from K1 are diminutive in all parts.
