Common name: Creeping cotula.
Description:
Creeping perennial to 5 cm high; stems stolon-like, filiform, slightly pubescent; leaves basal in groups at the nodes, erect, petiolate, oblanceolate, pinnate with leaflets deeply 3-7-lobed, 1-4.5 cm long, very sparsely pubescent.
Peduncles erect, filiform, 1.5-5 cm long, exceeding the leaves; capitula heterogamous, 4-7 mm diam.; involucral bracts 5-7, broadly ovate to orbicular, glandular; receptacle conical; female florets 3- or 4-seriate, sessile; corollas short, conical, swollen at the base.
Achenes flat, oblong, c. 1 mm long, with a thickened narrow wing; inner florets 15-25, sterile, sessile; corollas yellow; achenes abortive.
