Description:
Biology: A common, polymorphic variety in S.Aust. Some specimens from the Mt Lofty Ranges are almost inseparable from var. falcata Nicholls from W. Aust. Teratological freaks are infrequently encountered in which all petals are transformed (either partly or wholly) into labella. This occurs in other species of Caladenia also. Putative hybrids have been reported with C. cardiochila (MU), C. gladiolata (FR) and C. patersonii (SL, SE). Author: Not yet available |
