Description:
Shrub to 2.5 m tall; branches hoary when young, becoming glabrous with age; spines occasional, up to 10 mm long, hoary especially at the base; leaves in clusters of 2-4, narrow-lanceolate, 9-30 X 5-10 mm, green above to grey- or white- or golden-hairy below; margins more or less revolute, apex more or less uncinate; mid-vein prominent below.
Inflorescence racemose or paniculate, often hoary, terminal on the branchlets, 10-70 x 5-90 mm; pedicels 1.5-6 ram, sparsely pubescent; sepals narrow-lanceolate, acute, ciliate or glabrous, 1-2 x c. 0.5 ram; petals white, 4-6 x 1-1.5 mm, 3-nerved, glabrous; ovary densely white-hoary, 3-4 mm long.
Capsule densely white-pubescent, pale-brown.
