Description:
Twiner or creeper to 1 m tall; leaves alternate, linear to narrow-lanceolate, entire or crenate, acute, 14-50 x 1-9 mm, glabrous to sparsely pubescent, margins closely revolute.
Flowers solitary or occasionally 2 or 3 together, drooping or erect; sepals ovate-lanceolate, .2-6 x 0.5-1 mm, glabrous or ciliate; petals free, cream or white, occasionally suffused with purple, lanceolate, 12-16 mm long, ciliate, acuminate; ovary 9-11 x c. 1 mm, glabrous or hirsute.
Fruit a berry, 30-40 x 9-13 mm, glabrous or sparsely pubescent; seeds brown, 2-3 mm long, smooth to more or less reticulate.
