Description:
Perennial with a somewhat woody base and rigid erect branches up to 18 cm long, little-branched at the base but usually more branched above, forming tufts; stems quadrangular or terete later, usually densely covered with long hairs slightly bent backwards; leaves and stipules equal, in whorls of 7-10 rarely 6, linear, 3-8 mm long, acute or cuspidate with a terminal hair often slightly recurved, usually with long hairs along the margin and the central vein on the undersurface, erect and with the apices more or less curved inwards.
Inflorescence usually 1 terminal dichasium with 1-3 rarely 5 flowers; corolla white.
Fruit 1.5-2 mm long; 2lobed but usually not breaking apart.
