Description:
Erect shrub to 2.5 m tall, moderately to densely pubescent with glandular hairs and sometimes scattered non-glandular hairs, glabrescent; leaves borne singly, sessile, more or less linear, 2-50 x 0.5-6 mm (on seedlings up to 95 x 8 mm).
Flowers solitary, leaf-opposed or terminal; peduncle 2-6 mm long, glandular-pubescent; calyx 4-7 mm long, glandular-pubescent; corolla 19-28 mm in total length, white to creamy-yellow, with dull purple striations in the throat, glandular-pubescent outside, glabrous inside; corolla lobes 13-20 mm long.
Capsule broadly ovoid-ellipsoid to pear-shaped, 5-9 mm long; seeds brown, 1.7-2.2 mm long.
