Description:
Dioecious or monoecious shrub or small tree 1.5-4 m high; articles terete, smooth, striate, 0.8-2 cm long, 0.8-1.4 mm diam.; phyllichnia slightly convex, often with a yellowish midline; teeth 5-7, erect, 0.6-1.8 mm long.
Male spikes 1-3 cm long, slender, 5-7 whorls per cm; bracteoles deciduous; anthers yellow-brown, 0.7-1.3 mm long.
Cone on a peduncle 3-12 mm long, cylindrical, 1.8-3.3 cm long, 11-17 mm diam.; fruiting bracteoles obtuse, with a broad acute dorsal protuberance considerably shorter than the bracteole.
