Allocasuarina luehmannii

Citation: L. Johnson, J. Adelaide Bot. Gard. 7:314 (1985).

Synonymy: Casuarina luehmannii R. Baker, Proc. Linn. Soc. N.S.W. 24:608 (1900).

Common name: Bull oak, buloke.

Description:
Dioecious tree 5-15 m high, with ascending glaucescent branchlets; articles terete, striate, smooth, 8-18 mm long, 1-2 mm diam.; phyllichnia with a central rounded ridge; teeth 10-13, erect, 0.5-1 mm long.

Fruiting bracteoles acute, with an obtuse dorsal protuberance about half as long as the bracteole.

Distribution:  Scattered in woodland on non-calcareous soils.
