Racemes terminal on short lateral shoots; bracts stipule-like; bracteoles present; calyx deeply 2-lipped; stamens united by their filaments in 2 bundles of. 5 stamens each, slit open on the keel side basally and standard side above; ovules usually several; stigma terminal.
Pod stipitate, lomentaceous, splitting transversely into indehiscent 1-seeded articles; seed exarillate.
