Description:
Plants 4.5-20 cm to the top of the inflorescence; lowest 2 leaves basal, similar, linear or very narrowly lanceolate to lanceolate, 2.5-20 mm broad, or rarely (Mt Brown, Mt Remarkable areas) the lowest leaf basal, second leaf attached markedly higher on the stem, both or only the second dilated at the base, otherwise the blade narrow, tapering.

Flowers 1-5, all bisexual, pink or purplish-pink with deeper pink nectaries; perianth-segments 6.5-11 mm long, connate at the base; nectaries 2 per perianth-segment, consisting of distinct marginal shelf-like thickenings (sometimes pouch-like when dried), situated about one-third from the base of the segment; anthers purple.

Distribution:  Grows among rocks, mainly on hills.   N.T. Conservation status: native Flowering time: mainly May — Aug.

Biology: The collection seen from KI, and a similar one from west of Cowell, EP, consisted of diminutive plants with smaller flowers than described above. It remains to be seen whether this is usual for plants from these areas.
