Description:
Herb, stems rooting at their tips; leaves opposite and often decussate, smooth, shiny above, ovate-orbicular or deltoid, 2-7 cm long, ciliolate with short stiff hairs.
Follicles paired, c. 4 cm long, tapering, beak c. 8 mm; seeds 1 or 2 per follicle.

S.Aust.: FR, EP, NL, MU, YP, SL, KI, SE. N.S.W.; Vic.; Tas. Native to the Mediterranean region.
