Description:
Small glabrous annual; leaves terete or slightly flattened, 6-10 cm long; scape about as long as the leaves, or shorter.
Raceme 2-4 cm long, of 5-10 distant flowers.
Fruit shortly pedicellate, c. 4 mm long, cylindrical with a short conical summit; carpels 3, all fertile, rounded on the back, rigid, connate in all their length; each with 2 short thick spreading usually hooked spurs at the base; no persistent style when carpels have fallen.
