Description:
Slender annual, stems 2-20 cm long, procumbent or ascending, glabrescent; leaflets obovate or obcordate, to 5 (or rarely 8) mm long, with 4-9 pairs of lateral veins; terminal leaflets subsessile, their petiolules subequal; stipules oblong or ovate, longer than the petiole.
Flowers 1-5 in a loose head on reflexing pedicels longer than the calyx tube; peduncle capillary, usually exceeding the corresponding leaf; calyx c. 1.5 mm long, glabrous; teeth unequal, the upper 2 shortest, the lower 3 longer than the lower limb of the calyx tube; corolla 1.5-4 mm long, yellow, becoming yellowish-brown after anthesis; standard oblong, folded, nearly smooth.
Pod ovoid, 1.5-2 mm long, slightly compressed laterally, scarious 1- seldom 2-seeded; seed ovoid, c. 1 mm long, brown, smooth.
