Description:
Slender erect glabrous annual to 19cm; stem usually simple; leaves 7-25 mm long, the basal ones narrowly spathulate, the upper narrowly obovate to linear.
Inflorescence a dense cylindrical spike, the bracts and 2 bracteoles triangular or ovate, green; hypanthium 0.7-0.9mm long; sepals 1.1-1.9mm long, shallowly erose; corolla cream, the tube 3.5-5.2 mm long, the lobes 3-4.5 mm long, obtuse; gynoecium 3-5-partite.
Immature cocci obovoid, rugulose.
